Encouragement Friday

Really like these words. Enjoy!

“If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don’t.
If you’d like to win, but think you can’t
It’s almost a cinch you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’ve lost,
For out in the world we find
Success being with a fellow’s will;
It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you’re outclassed, you are:
You’ve got to think high to rise.
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the one who thinks he can.”

What to do when you’re on your second leg?

“Most things that we think are impossible in life, is because we never tried them. So go for every dream and opportunity before making judgements.”

Today marks the Second Half of the Year Day. Now is the chance to evaluate your year so far. What goals and objectives have you met? What’s working, what’s not working? How will you adjust? What will you improve? Forget the New Year’s Resolutions you probably didn’t keep. (I didn’t either) It’s time to take action and get back on track. Think …. finances, healthier diet, career, spirituality and other aspects of your life that you might want to improve or delete. You have another six months to go!!! Make the second half the best.

PB&J Sandwich

“Never give up on something that is important to you.” Unknown

Peanut and Jelly Sandwich. A fun challenge from Daily Paintworks. I really enjoyed this but it did make me crave one. So you guessed it … I made myself a PB&J sandwich! Wonder who was the first to combine the two. I read on the internet that the jelly was added to keep the peanut butter from sticking to the roof of the mouth. Makes sense.

Stones in Life

“The one who removes a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.”

Poppy Study 1. Watercolor.

Sometimes life can be overwhelming. Where you want to be seems no where in sight. Don’t give up though. Just move on stone at a time and stay positive. You will finally get to where you want to or need to be.

Poppies is one of my favorite flowers. I have many. This is one of two that I did of poppies.

The purpose of life, after all, is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experiences.
